Why And How?

Résumé: ملخص: لعل من أشهر المنظومات المتداولة مشرقا ومغربا تلك المنظومة التي انتهى منها صاحبها نظما سنة 1120هـ، وأراد من خلالها كما قال تسهيل منثور ابن آجروم.وبقدر الإجماع الحاصل بين النقاد والدارسين حول أهمية وسهولة النظم وكذا انتشاره وذيوعه، بقدر اختلافهم حول نسبتها لناظمها الأصلي وانقسموا في ذلك إلى فريقين فريق نسبها للشيخ عبيد ربه الشنقيطي وفريق آخر عاد بها للشيخ سيدي محمد بن أُبَّ التَّوَّاتي الجزائري.وفي هذا البحث نحاول الوقوف عند رأي الفريقين في الموضوع على أن نخلص أخيرا إلى الرأي الراجح بينهما بالحجة والدليل. Arguably, among the most well-known versified prose circulating in the [Muslim] East and West is the “Tas’heelManthur Ibn Ajrum” by Ibn Ajrūm completed by its author in 1120 A.H. by which he aimed to simplify the Manthur Ibn Ajrūm. To the extent that literary critics and scholars have consensus on the importance and easiness of the versified prose and its fame and wide dissemination to the same extent they diverge on whom to attribute it to as its actual author. In this vein, there are two groups. While the first group attributes it to ShaykhUbaydRabbihi al-Ŝanqīṭī al-Mūratānī, the other group attributes it to ShaykhMuḥammad bin Ubba al-Tuwwātī al-Jazāʾirī. In this study, we attempt to pause at and examine the opinionof the two groups on the matter in order to finally ascertain through evidence and sound argument the preponderant one of the two.
