Investigating The Impact Of Online Learning On Algerian Efl Students’ Motivation:
Résumé: Modern forms of distance education have provided students and instructors with the ability to access their online experiences without being limited by time or place. Elearning has played a major role in education especially during COVID_19. Online learning is one popular e-learning mode that is commonly used in distant learning. The aim of this research work is to determine whether learning and teaching online affect tEFL student's motivation. For this purpose, a case study was conducted with Almaahed International private school EFL students. In addition, the current dissertation adopted a mixed method in which the researchers combined between qualitative and quantitative research methods. Students’ questionnaire as well as teachers’ questionnaire were the main instruments to collect data. The findings of this study confirmed that online learning is an element that affects students’ motivation. Therefore, the results obtained revealed that students are more motivated and concentrated when ICT tools are used in the class. Besides, all teachers agreed that online learning has strong motivational and positive effects on EFL classrooms. Lastly, a set of pedagogical implications and recommendations were suggested to cope with low level of motivation in electronic learning.
