Développement D’un Système De Codage Distribué Pour La Surveillance
Résumé: The new video applications, such as video conference over wireless networks, video surveillance, PC cameras and mobile phones suffer from computation and energy resources limitation. In this context, the conventional predictive coding is not effective because its encoder is very complex. For this, it is more interesting to use low-complexity video encoders. To meet these requirements, the distributed video coding was developed having a low complexity at the encoder. Our contribution is the implementation of practical surveillance system, using distributed video coding and running on the wireless (WIFI) network. We have implemented all the operations of encoding, decoding and communication protocol between the encoder and decoder to manage the information’s exchange. We have also proposed some techniques to speed up the system, particularly for the creation of the side information and rate management.
