Résumé: The study aims to reveal Radio Algiers's contribution to local development at the state level. The study highlighted radio's interest in development issues through its presentation of issues of concern to citizens in the field of development. For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study, the survey curriculum was used to identify individuals who listen to the development programmes living in City of North Gara andMkhadma in Ouargla, The questionnaire and the interview were also used to collect data. The sample of the study was 40 individuals, so that the form was distributed to listeners selected according to the intended preview. A number of statistical methods were used in the SPSS statistical package program to present and analyze the results The study found that there had been a decline in listeners' ratio to local radio, but that radio still played a significant role in disseminating development awareness within the community as the closest vehicle.
