Résumé: ملخص البحث: لا يختلف اثنان بشأن أهمية الشخصية في العمل السردي، إذ بها يبني السارد رؤاه ويظهر محتوى العمل السردي وايديولوجيته، إنَّ للشخصية الحكائية أهمية كبيرة قد تفوق أهمية الحدث، والزمان، والمكان، ولها مهمات كبيرة جداً في العمل السردي، فبواساطتها يستطيع السارد التعبير عن آرائه التي يريد أن يضمّنها في الحكاية ويذلك يستطيع أن يصل إلى الحقائق التي يريد إيصالها إلى قارئيه، وكذلك التعبير عن هموم المجتمع و مشاكله عبر الشخصية، وهموم الكاتب الذاتية، فهي تبعث الحركة في العمل الحكائي، وهي التي تسير الحدث وتحركه عبر تفاعلها معه، فلا وجود لتصاعد الحدث في الحكاية لولا الشخصيات التي تعمل على ذلك، وقد قسمت الشخصية بتقسيات عديدة ، الّا إننا في هذا البحث تحدثنا عن الشخصية بنوعيها الرئيسة والثانوية في الحكاية الشعبية، وكيف أدت دورها في الحكاية ، وكذلك تطرقنا إلى طرائق رسم الشخصية الحكائية، وكيف رسمها السارد بالطريقة التحليلية المباشرة، أو الطريقة التمثيلية غير المباشرة. في كتاب قالت عجيبية اساطير تهامية .
