The Role Of Financial Technology In Bridging The Gender Financial Inclusion Gap In Developing Countries: The Case Of Algeria

Résumé: Abstract This study examines the role of financial technology (Fintech) in reducing the gender gap in financial inclusion and promoting gender equality in developing countries, with a case study of Algeria. It highlights Fintech's potential to address traditional barriers such as high costs, limited access to financial services, and socio-cultural constraints. Through a survey targeting women from diverse age, educational, and geographical backgrounds, the study identified factors influencing the adoption of financial technology, including ease of use, financial literacy, and existing challenges. The findings reveal that Fintech significantly contributes to enhancing financial inclusion and gender equality but still faces challenges such as digital illiteracy and weak infrastructure, necessitating targeted policies to achieve sustainability.
