Etude De La Degradation Des Performances D’une Pompe Centrifuge En Ecoulement Diphasique
Résumé: The objective of the study is to provide a new highlight on the evolution of the performance degradation of a centrifugal pump two-phase flow water / air using numerical simulations. The works has been carried out primarily on the single-phase flow in water at different rates to determine the homogeneous characteristic and compare with experimental measurements. Tests are then conducted on the two-phase flow at the same rates and at different volume fractions of the gas. The results showed significant performance degradation compared to single-phase conditions. This deterioration characterized by two phase efficacy is varying noticeably according to the studied condition. The analysis of flow fields has contributed to better understand the physical phenomena responsible of the degradation. It was found an accumulation of the gaseous phase on the pressure-side on the blades of the impeller, conduct to modify the conventional structure the flow. The effect of the diameter of the air bubbles and the suction pressure has been investigated.
