Résumé: ملخص: يشكل كتاب مفاخر البربر لغزا في الكتابة التاريخية في العصر المريني، بعد محاولات من مكتشفه ليفي بروفنسال سنة 1934م للكشف عن كاتبه خصلت إلى نسبته لابن عذاري المراكشي. ويؤرخ كتاب مفاخر البربر للتاريخ السياسي باعتماد مصادر الغرب الإسلامي خلال القرنين (10-11هـ/16-17م) كمؤلف ابن حيان الأندلسي وغيره، وتبدو أهميته في كونه من المصادر التي أرخت للمرينيين بعيدا عن البلاط وتأثيراته، الشيء الذي يدعم القول بأن الكتاب ألف في الأوساط التاريخية المراكشية التي تصنف في خانة المعارضة للسلطة المرينية، بعد تعرضه لأصل ونسب القبائل الصنهاجية ربما دفعا للبحث عن الشرعية من خلال النسب العربي للسلطة القائمة، وهو بذلك يمثل آخر الكتابات التاريخية المميزة في نهاية العصر الوسيط في الغرب الإسلامي. Summary: The book the feats of the Berbers which is written by an unknown author is considered as one of the mysteries in the historical writing in the Marinid era; After many attempts by its discoverer Levi Provençal in 1934 AD to reveal its author he concluded attributing it to Ibn Adhari al-Marrakshi. This book “The feats of the Berbers "introduces the political History” though relying on the sources of the Islamic West during the two centuries (10-11 AH / 16-17 AD) such as the book of Ibn Hayyan Al-Andalusi and others .Actually,its importance appears in being one of the sources that chronicled to the Marinids away from the court and its influences;Thus supports the saying that the book was written in the historical circles of Marrakesh, which is classified in the category of opposition to the Marinid authority.since the book had exposed the origin and lineage of the Sanhaji tribes;That it may be explained by searching for legitimacy through the Arab lineage of the existing authority. Therefore that represents the last distinguished historical writings at the end of the medieval era in the Islamic West.
