Language Representations In The Age Of Digital Communication: Emerging Linguistic Semantics As A Form Of Self-presentation On Digital Platforms
Résumé: This research paper stems from the growing debate about the role of language in the digital age, particularly regarding the relationship between the self and identity construction within social platforms. It focuses on the transformations in linguistic semantics in the digital age and the linguistic strategies users employ to present themselves online. This research endeavor also presents hypothetical analytical frameworks for how language is shaped within emerging meanings, without neglecting the levels of complexity that accompanied the transformations of language within the phenomenon of digital communication.
