Résumé: “Charles Darwin” a brilliant geologist, after years of research and observation, promoted some new theories mainly about origin and evolution of species. Those theories provoked a lot of controversies in the society, between acceptance and refusal.As a chain reaction, some new scientists have developed the concept to a philosophy, by using it to explain some major events and actions of the human being. This Extended Essay aims to put forward one of the most influential philosophies that affected the whole world by the late 19th century and the first mid of the 20th century, Social Darwinism. It also attempts to puzzle out symbols of this philosophy in science fiction cinema by choosing ‘Planet Of Apes ‘as sample analysis ; highlighting by that the influence of the Social Darwinism in the modern time.
