Résumé: الملخص باللغة العربية: يدور موضوع الدراسة حول جهود العلج علي باشا الجزائر في عثمنة تونس على ضوء مهمة دفتري حيث كان لإيالة الجزائر مع بداية القرن16م دور هام وبارز من خلال مشاركتها في حل القضايا العثمانية المتوسطية ومن بينها مسألة تحرير تونس التي أخذت حيزا كبيرا من إهتمام الباب العالي الذي سارع في تكثيف مراسلاته وإتصالاته مع باشاوات الجزائر وخاصة العلج علي بعد تقليده لحكم الجزائر سنة 1568م، والذي بدأ أولى اهتمامه بقضية تحرير تونس مكملا بذلك ما بدأ به خير الدين باشا، حيث جهز العدة والعتاد مع إشراكه للقبائل الجزائرية منها قبائل كوكو من أجل تحقيق الهدف المنشود مستغلا بذلك خبراته البحرية التي يشهد بها العدو قبل الصديق، ولهذا نراه يقوم بتحرير الدواخل التونسية الواحدة تلو الأخرى ويلحقها إداريا بإيالة الجزائر بطلب من الباب العالي، إلى غاية تحريره حلق الوادي والتي بدونها يبقى تحرير تونس معلقا والذي تم نهائيا في 13 سبتمبر 1574م، وهكذا دمرت أحلام الاسبان نهائيا بالمنطقة وألحقت تونس بالمجال العثماني. Abstract: The subject of the study concerns The efforts of Al-Aldj Ali Pasha of Algeria in the Ottoman Empire in Tunisia the light of Daftary's mission Where, at the beginning of the 16th century AD, the Regency of Algeria had an important and prominent role through its participation in solving the Ottoman Mediterranean issues, including the issue among them the liberation of Tunisia. Indeed, the latter took a large part of the attention of the Othman's authorities, who hastened to intensify their correspondence and contacts with the pashas of Algeria, especially Al-Aldj Ali, after his imitation of the rule of Algeria in 1568 AD who started his first interest in the issue of the liberation of Tunisia, complementing what Khair El-Din Pasha started with, where he prepared the equipment with his involvement of the Algerian tribes, including the Coco tribes, in order to achieve the desired goal, taking advantage of his naval expertise that friends and enemies testified. For this we see him liberating the interiors of Tunisia one after the other, he attaches it administratively to the province of Algeria at the request of the Othman's authorities, until the liberation of Halk El Wadi, without which the liberation of Tunisia would remain suspended. This was finally completed on 13September 1574 AD, and thus the dreams of the Spaniards were completely destroyed in the region and Tunisia was annexed to the Ottoman domain
