Résumé: The Algerian desert embraced the stable lifestyle and defined these cities as palaces. Today, many of these cities were destroyed and extincted; only some of their traces survived. However, the luckiest palace which survived and remained is the ancient palace of Ouergla. It is still populated and it has largely preserved its original Saharian architecture and its traditional social structure which constitute its three streets: Beni Ibrahim, Beni Wajin and Beni Sisin. The researcher will try to stand on the architectural presence of the ancient palace and the extent to which it remains in its original style. He will also identify the determiners of accommodation inside the palace and its relevance to the traditional social structure of the palace based on the kinship relations.
