Résumé: من الروايات التي تشتغل على المكان كتبت لنا الروائية جميلة طلباوي " الخابية"، وهي رواية تتخذ من البناء المعماري الصحراوي موضوعا رئيسيا له، تجوب بنا أزقة القصر وبنايات الطوب التي طبعت الصحراء، في محاولة منها إعادة تلك التصاميم القديمة، بناء معماري يناسب رجل الصحراء بعد أن خنقته المدن والعمارات التي لا تناسب تفكيره ونمط عيشه. يتبنى المهندس فاتح مشروع بناء القصور ليعيده من جديد، وتشاركه فيه زوجته سارة، غير أنهما يصطدمان بالحقيقة، حقيقة أن لا أحد صار يرغب في العودة إلى القصور وإلى نمط العيش فيها. هي معاناة نقلتها لنا الروائية جميلة طلباوي بأسلوب سردي شيق عكس الصراعات النفسية الداخلية والصراعات الخارجية المحيطة بالشخصيات، مؤثثة روايتها بالكثير من مظاهر البيئة الصحراوية بما في ذلك العادات والتقاليد وبكل ما له صلة بالتراث الصحراوي.
