Résumé: The aim of this study to identify the impact of the policy of reducing the value of the foreign currency as one of the tools for exchange-rate policies in developing countries on the balance of trade, through the study of the case of Algeria during the period (1986-2014), using standard curriculum specifically Co intégration model and causation, relying on two variables, the exchange rate and oil prices. The findings of the study to the absence of the impact of the reduction of the exchange rate of the dinar to the Algerian balance of trade to refer to the lack of flexibility of the productive apparatus and the elasticity of demand on imports, the existence of a causal relationship between oil prices and trade balance of the fact that the economy Algeria oil economy.
