The Role Of Using Authentic Videos On Learners’ Pronunciation.
Résumé: The current study attempts to investigate the role of using authentic videos on learners‟ pronunciation. It aims to determine how these materials can help students to improve both their listening skill and pronunciation. Accordingly, within the context of this study, two research questions are raised to examine whether authentic videos have an impact on students' pronunciation, and to investigate the ways in which these materials contribute to a more engaging and enjoyable language learning experience for learners. In response to the questions and to obtain the necessary data, a mixed method is opted for. A questionnaire is administered to fifty students of English at the Department of Foreign Languages, Mila University Center, while interviews are conducted with eight teachers of Oral Expression. The major research findings reveal that the use of authentic videos has a positive influence on learners‟ pronunciation as well as their listening comprehension making their learning experience enjoyable. Eventually, the research work proffers a multiplicity of recommendations for pedagogy and future research with the purpose of drawing more attention to these materials in the teaching of Oral Expression.
