Résumé: يعتبر الأمن في الطرق والمسالك أحد الشروط الأساسية لضمان سلامة القوافل بنوعيها التجاري والديني، خاصة ونحن نعلم أن المغرب الأوسط مر بظروف سياسية واقتصادية واجتماعية صعبة ما بين القرنين السابع والتاسع الهجريين/ق 13-15م، ساهمت في انتشار بعض الظواهر الاجتماعية السلبية التي أثرت بشكل ملفت للانتباه في الحياة اليومية للسكان، ومن أبرز هذه الظواهر اللصوصية وقطع الطريق، والتي مثلت هاجسا كبيرا للقوافل التجارية وحركة المسافرين بما سببته من اضطرابات ومخاطر هددت حياة الناس وأموالهم، سنحاول من خلال هذه الورقة البحثية الوقوف على هذه الظاهرة وتتبع حجم انتشارها بالشرح والتحليل، وإبراز أثرها في حركة القوافل هذا من جهة، ومن جهة أخرى معرفة ردود فعل السلطة والتجار والحجيج من خلال الإجراءات المتخذة للحد من هذه الظاهرة ومواجهة المخاطر.
