Résumé: نحاول في هذه الورقة البحثية تجميع ما أمكننا من أقوال وشهادات المعاصرين للعلامة أحمد فوزي الهيب من أدباء وعلماء وأصدقاء، في محاولة لتشكيل تصور متكامل عن اثر هذا الرجل في جيله ومكانته بين أقرانه ومن جاء بعدهم، كما سنتتبع نبأ وفاته وكيف استقبلته الصحافة العربية والهيئات العلمية والأكاديمية المختلفة التي كان لها تواصل وارتباط بالهيب، فمن هو أحمد فوزي الهيب، وماهي مكانته في المجالين العلمي والأدبي، وكيف يراه زملاؤه وطلبته وغيرهم من المهتمين بالتراث العربي عموما، وكيف كانت ردود الفعل حول وفاته، وخسارة الأمة لعالم باحث في مقامه ومكانته.
