John F Kennedy’s Attitudes Towards Afro-americans, 1961-1963
Résumé: resident John Fitzgerald Kennedy's (JFK) actions undertaken during the area of the civil rights era have been the focus of many studies. This study attempted to shed some light on the different methods used by Kennedy to deal with the Blacks' issues of discrimination, and the reintegration process of African Americans within the American society. Although Kennedy is accused for not taking serious measures to protect Blacks, he is granted the privilege of reinforcing the idea of inclusion at all governmental spheres. President Kennedy introduced some important decisions with the intention of improving the living standards of African American people and integrating them in the American society notably at the level of economy, education, transportation, public housing, armed forces and voting.
