Enquête Sur La Prescription Médicamenteuse En Odontologie Conservatrice / Endodontie

Résumé: Résumé Introduction : Une des obligations du chirurgien-dentiste dans ce domaine est de tenir compte de l'évaluation du rapport bénéfice/risque d'un médicament et de tenir informé le patient afin d'obtenir son consentement éclairé, cependant il faut prendre en compte qu'une prescription excessive ou une dé-prescription des médicaments peuvent engendrer des effets secondaires à court ou a long terme. Objectif : l’objectif de notre étude était d’évaluer les modalités de prescription médicamenteuse chez les chirurgiens dentistes en OC/E. Matériels et méthode : Il s’agit d’une étude transversale à visée descriptive et comparative réalisée au moyen d’un questionnaire. Au total nous avons collectés 123 médecins dentistes des secteurs privé et public, spécialiste et généraliste de l’est algérien (Constantine, Skikda, Jijel, Tébessa et Mila) et leurs communes dans la période entre le 03/01/2023 et le 05/05/2023. La saisie des données et l’analyse statistique ont été effectuées à l’aide d’un logiciel SPSS et Tableur Excel. Résultats : D’après notre travail qui a été effectué sur un échantillon de 123 médecins dentistes, nous avons révélé qu’un grand nombre d’entre eux respectaient les recommandations générales concernant la prescription des médicaments étudiés. Cependant, nous avons également identifié des cas de non-conformité concernant le respect des indications et des doses, en particulier pour les anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens (AINS), les antibiotiques (ATB) et les anxiolytiques. Conclusion : Il est donc nécessaire pour le médecin dentiste d'être au courant aux recommandations actuelles et d’être conscient de toutes les caractéristiques des médicaments prescrits et leurs effets indésirables afin d'obtenir une thérapeutique de qualité. Summary Introduction: one of the obligations of the dentist in this field is to consider the evaluation of the benefit/risk ratio of a medication and to inform the patient in order to obtain their informed consent. However, it is important to consider that excessive prescribing or deprescribing of medications can lead to short-term or long-term side effects. Objective: the objective of our study as to evaluate the modalities of drug prescription among dentists in OC/E. Materials and methods: this was a descriptive and comparative cross-sectional study conducted using a questionnaire. We collected a total of 123 dentists from the private and public sectors, including specialists and general practitioners, from the eastern region of Algeria (Constantine, Skikda, Jijel, Tébessa, and Mila), and their respective municipalities between January 3, 2023, and May 5,2023. Data entry and statistical analysis were performed using the software SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Results: Based on our study conducted on a sample of 123 dentists, we found that a large number of them followed the general recommendations regarding the prescription of the studied medications. However, we also identified cases of non-compliance with respect to indications and dosages, particularly for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, and anxiolytics. Conclusion: Therefore, it is necessary for the dentist to be aware of current recommendations and to understand all the characteristics of the prescribed medications and their adverse effects in order to achieve quality therapy.
