Promoting Process-oriented Methodology To Teaching Listening Comprehension In Algerian Efl Classes تعزيز المنهجية القائمة على العملية الموجهة لتدريس الفهم السمعي في دروس اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية

Résumé: Abstract: - Listening comprehension has always been a real challenge for many EFL learners who struggle to understand the native speakers’ spoken discourse. The aim of this research paper is to consider and discuss in details aspects of the process-based approach to teaching listening skills. Actually, research related to teaching listening comprehension, in recent years, has shifted the focus to a more process-oriented methodology (Field, 2008). This latter suggests an approach that gives learners intensive practice on small-scale exercises that contribute to improve the practice of various listening sub-skills. This approach recommends guiding learners through the listening process toward improved comprehension by providing instruction to help them in individual word identification, and recognition of features of connected speech. Accordingly, some useful implications have been drawn in order to provide teachers and material designers with some guidelines for implementing this approach in listening instructions. الملخص لطالما كان الفهم السمعي تحديًا حقيقيًا للعديد من متعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية ويهدف هذا المقال إلى مراجعة ومناقشة جوانب النهج القائم على العملية لتعليم مهارات الاستماع. حيث أنه في السنوات الأخيرة، لفتت البحوث المتعلقة بتدريس الاستماع الانتباه إلى نهج قائم أكثر على العملية، والذي يوصي بتوجيه المتعلمين أثناء عملية الاستماع نحو تحسين الفهم من خلال توفير التعليمات المساعدة للتعرف على الكلمات والتعرف على ميزات الكلام المتصل . وبناء على ذلك، تم استخلاص بعض التوجيهات المفيدة من أجل تزويد المعلمين ومعدي المناهج ببعض المبادئ التوجيهية لتنفيذ هذا النهج لتدريس مهارة الاستماع.
