Caractérisation De La Salinité Globale Du Sol Parla Mesure De La Conductivité Électrique (pate Saturée Et Extraits Dilués)

Résumé: In hot arid areas, the extension of irrigated agriculture and the use of waterunderground salt pans for irrigation, combined with high evaporation, leadinevitably to soil salinity and salinization. In this context, this study aims tofirst time to determine the electrical conductivity of soil and that of irrigation water ineleven study regions located in the Algerian Sahara (Ouargla, El Oued, Biskra, Ghardaïa, Touggourt, Tindouf, Illizi, Adrar, In Salah, Bechar and Tamanrasset), and secondly to estimate the relationshipbetween the salinity of the soil and that of the water at the level of these regions. To do this, the electrical conductivity of cultivated and uncultivated soil (extract of saturated paste and diluted extracts 1/1,1/2.5 and 1/5) and that of water intended for irrigation in several Saharan regions were been measured. The results obtained indicated that the highest electrical conductivity of the soil (saturated paste extract) was recorded in the cultivated soil of the In Salah region (19.23 dS/m), while the lowest was recorded in the soil grown in the Tamanrasset region (5.82 dS/m). About the conductivity of irrigation water, the highest conductivity was recorded in theBiskra region (10.32 dS/m), while the weakest was recorded in the region ofTamanrasset (0.56 dS/m). In addition, positive correlations were foundbetween the extract of the saturated paste and the various diluted extracts produced. ConductivitySoil electricity was also positively correlated with that of irrigation water.All the results obtained make it possible to estimate the secondary origin of salinizationsoil related to irrigation in most of the regions studied. .
