Résumé: خاض المستشرقون خلال القرن التاسع عشر تجربة فريدة، خاصة في مجال فن التصوير وذلك من خلال زياراتهم و رحلاتهم الاستكشافية للعالم الشرقي، ولقد أفرزت الإنتاجات الفنية الأولى للمستشرقين نوعا من الإستغراب في المضامين الدلالية لتقنيات الإخراج النهائية، و التي حملت في كثير من جوانبها التشكيلية البيئة الشرقية من خلال تجسيد مختلف المظاهر الإجتماعية الخاصة بالدول المستعمرة، ولقد كانت الجزائر من بين هاته الدول التي مسها الفكر التنويري الاستشراقي خاصة في مرحلته الثانية من خلال التركيز على تغييب الصورة الفعلية للمرأة الجزائرية وسط مجتمعها المحافظ.
