Résumé: تتميز كتابات الأستاذ إبراهيم القادري بوتشيش بالطرح المنهجي المتسم بالتجديد وتتبع الزوايا المعتمة في التاريخ الوسيط للغرب الاسلامي ومحاولة تفكيك المادة العلمية وإعادة تركيبها في قالب تحليلي يروم استكشاف مختلف التغيرات والتموجات الذهنية التي يحبل بها تاريخ الغرب الاسلامي، خصوصا في شقه الاجتماعي والاقتصادي، وهما الجانبين اللذان يحظيان باهتمام كبير منه، وهو ما يتضح في مؤلفاته ومن بينها كتاب حلقات مفقودة من تاريخ الغرب الاسلامي الذي تطرق فيه لمجموعة من المواضيع الجديدة ذات البعد الأنثروبولوجي.
