Delle Competenze Per La Costruzione Di Test Di Comprensione Della Lettura Con Quesiti A Scelta Multipla

Résumé: Riassunto: Sull’asse temporale dello sviluppo della lettura, la vera rivoluzione è stata segnata con l’affermarsi dello strutturo-cognitivismo negli anni settanta, in attesa di un’altra svolta che sarebbe il frutto dell’intelligenza artificiale. Il nuovo paradigma critica le visioni classiche e il modo di analisi superficiale della lettura e tende a un’analisi più profonda; si tratta di un’opposizione tra quantità e qualità, tra “cosa” ha capito il lettore e “come” è riuscito a capire. Evidentemente, tutti i lavori ed i modelli spiegativi dei processi psico-mnemonico-cognitivi che sovraintendono i processi legati alla lettura nati con questa visione mirano allo sviluppo delle competenze di lettura. Questo solleva la questione dell'efficacia della misurazione e valutazione di tali competenze. Nel contesto di insegnamento/ apprendimento, il ricorso ai testing, sia ai fini diagnostici che esercitativi deve seguire una metodologia chiara e precisa per toccare la detta doppia funzione. In questo contributo la costruzione di specifici test validi ed attendibili per accertare le competenze nella comprensione dei testi scritti rappresenta lo scopo finale che non sarebbe mai raggiungibile senza avere una rappresentazione chiara di ciò che si intende misurare. Dunque per una maggiore efficacia del lavoro didattico seguiamo il percorso per la costruzione di un test di comprensione dello scritto basato su quesiti a scelta multipla, un test oggettivo adatto alle esigenze specifiche del contesto classe e che considera pertinenza, validità e affidabilità. Abstract: On the time axis of the development of reading, the real revolution was marked by the rise of structural cognitivism in the 1970s, in anticipation of another breakthrough that would be the result of artificial intelligence. The new paradigm criticised the classical views and the superficial way of analysing reading and tended towards a deeper analysis; it was an opposition between quantity and quality, between 'what' the reader understood and 'how' he was able to understand. Evidently, all the works and models explaining the psycho-mnemonic-cognitive processes involved in reading born with this view aim at the development of reading skills. Hence, how effective is the measurement and assessment of the degree of reading competence? In the teaching/learning context, the use of testing, both for diagnostic and practice purposes, must follow a clear and precise methodology in order to touch upon the said dual function. In this contribution, the construction of specific valid and reliable tests to ascertain competences in the comprehension of written texts represents the final aim that would never be attainable without having a clear representation of what it is intended to measure. Therefore, for greater effectiveness of the teaching work, we follow the path of constructing a reading comprehension test based on multiple-choice questions, an objective test suited to the specific needs of the classroom context and which respects relevance, validity and reliability.
