The Influence Of Teaching Strategies On Enhancing Oral Fluency Of Extrovert And Introvert Students.
Résumé: The present study aims at investigating the influence of personality traits; mainly extraversion and introversion on students’ oral fluency. It also describes how strategies of teaching can affect speakers’ skills. This study used a mixed method to collect and describe the data. In this regard, 46 EFL learners at Yahia Fares university from different levels were selected to participate in this research. As instruments, students were given the MBTI test to be categorized as extroverts and introverts. Besides, a questionnaire was used to analyze their viewpoint toward the teaching strategies and activities used in speaking classes. In addition to classroom observations to support and maintain the research findings. The results revealed that extraversion and introversion affect students’ fluency. Moreover, it demonstrated that extroverts were not affected by the classroom activity since they showed similar performance in all classes. Conversely, introverts’ oral fluency was influenced as they showed better results in the conversation class
