Résumé: Esta investigación examina el papel de los elementos naturales como vehículos narrativos en dos obras contemporáneas: L'interdite (1993) de Malika Mokeddem y El viento del norte (1951) de Elena Quiroga. A través de un análisis comparativo, este estudio investiga cómo el desierto argelino y la costa gallega trascienden su función de escenarios para convertirse en elementos fundamentales que articulan temas de identidad, memoria y transformación. El objetivo principal es analizar la construcción del espacio natural como elemento narrativo estructurador en ambas obras. Los resultados revelan paralelismos significativos en el tratamiento del espacio natural como vehículo narrativo, demostrando que ambas autoras desarrollan una construcción compleja del espacio que opera simultáneamente como depositario de la memoria colectiva, territorio de exploración existencial y agente activo en la transformación de los personajes. This research examines the role of natural elements as narrative vehicles in two contemporary works: L'interdite (1993) by Malika Mokeddem and El viento del norte (The North Wind) (1951) by Elena Quiroga. Through a comparative analysis, this study investigates how the Algerian desert and the Galician coast transcend their function as settings to become fundamental elements that articulate themes of identity, memory, and transformation. The main objective is to analyze the construction of natural space as a structuring narrative element in both works. The results reveal significant parallels in the treatment of natural space as a narrative vehicle, demonstrating that both authors develop a complex construction of space that operates simultaneously as a repository of collective memory, a territory of existential exploration, and an active agent in the transformation of characters.
