Résumé: Bashir Al-Saadawi is one of the most important poles of the Libyan national movement who have had a prominent activity inside Libya by settling the internal conflict and uniting the Libyan class and calling for a unified leadership to confront the Italian occupation, and even in the Diaspora he played a role no less important than his role at home to mobilize international support against Fascism. After Italy’s defeat in World War II, Bashir Al-Saadawi confronted all attempts to divide Libya and was able to gather great popular support through which he became one of the most balanced and influential Libyan personalities, but things did not go in favor of this militant to be exiled in 1952 after Libya gained its independence.
