Résumé: Small and medium enterprises are recognized as vital contributors to the economy, playing a crucial role in driving development and revitalizing economic activity. Despite their significance, Small and medium nterprises encounter numerous obstacles that hinder their establishment and survival. One of the major challenges they face is securing financing, primarily due to the unique nature of these enterprises. Traditional methods of obtaining loans pose difficulties as they typically require collateral that Small and medium enterprises struggle to provide. As a result, alternative financing methods have emerged, with venture capital standing out as a successful option in supporting Small and medium enterprises. Venture capital offers effective financial support throughout various stages of project and business development, from inception to potential defaults, which sets it apart from other financing approaches. Recognizing the significance of venture capital in fostering the growth of Small and medium enterprises and acknowledging the state's keen interest in this sector, Algeria recently adopted risk capital as a financing mechanism, albeit in its early stages of implementation
