The Attitudes Of Efl Teachers Toward The Implementation Of Ict Modes Of Interaction Within The Intensive Language Teaching Centre (ceil) At Skikda University
Résumé: Recently, in this digital age, technology is playing a fundamental role in enhancing the teaching and learning practices. Information and Communication Technology is mainly used to store and transfer information. As a result, many researchers have reported that nowadays, the teaching process highly recommends the integration of technology since ICT can offer effective opportunities for professional development of teachers. The current study attempts to investigate EFL teachers’ attitudes toward the implementation of ICT modes of interaction within the Algerian University context particularly at the intensive language teaching centre CEIL. To achieve this aim, this study used a mixed method case study approach that encompasses adapted TAT online questionnaire and an interview with a highly qualified instructor, the latter tools were adopted to collect relevant evidence. Namely, SPSS programme was used to process and analyse data. Thus, the obtained findings revealed that despite some reticence, EFL teachers generally embraced a positive attitude toward ICT classroom integration and stressed its effectiveness in educational settings.
