Résumé: This research is an attempt to shed light on the various perspectives of literary criticism in Algeria through the examination of the critical studies in order to determine the theoretical backgrounds and strategies adopted by Algerian literary critics in the analysis of literary texts. In fact, this study centers on the critic "Abdelhamid Bouraiou" so that to detect the main critical trends that he adopted in his critical studies. This could only be achieved through tracing back their theoretical backgrounds and probing the methodologies and procedures that the aforementioned critic applied to the analysis of different literary texts.
