المرأة في البلاط الروماني بين الاستقامة والفجور

Résumé: اعتبرت المرأة المثالية في نهاية العهد الجمهوري بروما، هي الفاضلة التي تحسن التقشف وتسيير شؤون بيتها، والتي تخدم بيتها، المرأة الرومانية كانت مكرسة لواجبها المتمثل في انجاب وتعليم أجيال من المواطنين؛ والماترونا " matrona " التي تعتبر سيدة المجتمع و الأم وربة البيت، تبقى في بيتها لنسج الصوف، وهو من بين واجباتها، يمثل رمزاً لشرف مهمتها، ولأنها بالنسبة لهم قاصر وفاقدة للأهلية تظل طول حياتها تحت وصاية الرجل، لكن وانطلاقاً من القرن الثاني قبل الميلاد، بدأت السلطة الأبوية" patria potestas " تتناقص بشكل كبير، وضعفت الوصاية الشرعية تدريجياً بقوانين أوغسطس، الى أن ألغيت تماماً مع القرن الثاني الميلادي؛ وفي الأوساط الغنية ساهمت المرأة وشاركت في الإخلال وضياع القيم والآداب العامة: كمنافستها للرجال في الابتذال والوقاحة، والاكثار من الزنى والطلاق؛ وفي القصور، نجد المرأة مثالية تارة، وتارة أخرى عنيدة، وقحة وماكرة، وبعضهن عرفن بإرادة حديدية، لكن هل فعلاً استطاعت المرأة التأثير في قيم المجتمع وفي سياسة الامبراطورية الرومانية؟ Abstract: At the end of the Republic, ideally austere and virtuous, watching over the home, the Roman woman is entirely devoted to her duty of engendering and educating generations of citizens; The "matrona" must behave as a submissive wife, stay home to spin and weave the wool, an activity that symbolizes the duties but also the dignity of his function, considered as minor, remains all his life subject to a male guardianship but to from the 2nd century BC, the "patria potestas" is gradually limited; "legitimate" tutelage, weakened by the laws of Augustus and will be completely suppressed in the second century AD; in wealthy circles they participate, especially in the general relaxation of manners: they compete with men in banquets sometimes, and multiply adulteries and divorces; and in the imperial palaces one finds the woman often exemplary, sometimes intransigent, sluggish and cunning, some have an iron will, but did women really have a growing influence on the manners and politics of the Roman Empire ?
