The English Translation Of Arabic " Fii" In Quranic Text

Résumé: The present paper attempts to investigate the English used in the translation of the Qura'an. By examining the English translation of one particular Arabic preposition ''fii'', the study hopes to contribute to a better comprehension of translating one of the Arabic prepositions which is commonly used. Surah YaSin is chosen for this study because it is considered by most Muslims and Islamic scholars to be the ''Heart of the Qura'an''. This surah also, from a linguistic and translation research perspective, contains a significant number of the preposition ''fii'' (n=15) which means that the translation of this surah will provide a rich source for investigating the English translation of this Arabic preposition. In this study two translators of the Glory Quran have been taken to analyze the way these translators rendered the Quranic verses that contain ''fii''. The translations chosen are those of Abdullah Yusuf Ali and Muhammed Sarwar. في هذا المقال حاولنا البحث في اللغة الإنجليزية المستخدمة في ترجمة القرآن. من خلال استقصاء الترجمة الإنجليزية لواحد من حروف الجر العربية " fii " ، تأمل الدراسة في المساهمة في فهم أفضل لترجمة إحدى حروف الجر العربية الشائعة الاستخدام. و لقد وقع اختيارنا في هذه الدراسة على سورة يس، لأنها تلقب عند سائر الأمة الإسلامية بقلب القرآن الكريم، كما تحوي هذه السورة أيضًا، من منظور البحث اللغوي و الترجمة ، على عدد كبير من حرف الجر " fii "، مما يعنـــــي أن ترجمة هذه الســــورة ستوفر مصدرًا غنيًا لفهم معمق لمعنى حرف الجر " fii" أثناء عملية الترجمة الإنجليزية. في هذه الدراسة ، تمت الإستعانة بمترجمين اثنين للقرآن الكريم لتحليل الطريقة التي قدم بها هؤلاء المترجمون الآيات القرآنية التي تحتوي على حرف " fii ". أما النصوص القرآنية المترجمة المختارة فهي لكل من عبد الله يوسف علي، و محمد سروار.
