Total Phenols And Flavonoids Contents Of Aromatic Herb And Medicinal Specie Of Lamiaceae (overview)
Résumé: This study aims to investigate the total phenols and flavonoids contents of eight hydroalcoholic extracts obtained from leaves and stems of medicinal plant belong of Lamiaceae family. The Folin-Ciocalteu method was used to determine the total phenols content while flavonoids were estimated according to the aluminum chloride colorimetric method. The amounts of TPC were very high in the ethyl acetate and chloroform from leaves; chloroform and ethyl acetate from stems. But the TFC were very elevated only in the ethyl acetate extracts from leaves and stems. This medicinal plant which belongs of Lamiaceae family collected from eastern Algeria possesses significant levels of TCP and TFC
