Hashtags And Public Opinion Mobilization: An Analysis Of Global Trends And Statistics
Résumé: This research is dedicated to exploring a relatively recent phenomenon catalyzed by the emergence of social media platforms: the hashtag. The study examines its substantial role in broadening the diversity of follower bases across multiple dimensions—social, political, economic, cultural, and religious—thereby effectuating transformative shifts on local, national, and global levels. Their capacity to rapidly mobilize users and generate large-scale engagement has positioned them as a key force in digital activism and public opinion formation. Accordingly, this investigation concentrates on the operational dynamics of hashtags and their consequential impact on swaying public opinion, as evidenced by global models and statistics of hashtags that continue to influence governments and the global landscape through their succinct symbols and language.
