Résumé: تعد السيرة الشعبية أهم أجناس السرد الشعبي العربي، وأكثرها تنوعاوطولا وشمولية لبقية الأجناس، والسيرة الهلالية أشهرها، حيث اتّسع تداولها فيالأقطار العربية، وأهم ما تركّز عليه السّيرة الشّعبية اهتمامها بالبطل المتمرد الذي يخوض تجربة قاسية أثناء مولده وطفولته حتى يشتد ساعده ويقوى عوده، ويقف شامخا قويا في وجه أعداء قومه ووطنه، فكان أبو زيد الهلالي البطل الذي تتبعنا مراحل بطولته ما قبل مولده حتى انتقال البطولة إلى ذياب الهلالي.
