Unveiling The Subliminal Messages Opposing Islam Homeland Tv Series
Résumé: This memoire reflects the history of anti-Muslim sentiments in the united states as it attempts to examine the phenomenon of Islamophobia and its motives. Islamophobia has manifested in the United States through different fields like politics and society. Media has also been exploited to spread those anti-Muslim sentiments directly and indirectly, through what is known as subliminal messages. Subliminal messages are those hidden messages found in media about different topics with the aim of conveying an idea. The research selected the TV series Homeland as a case of study. This TV series embeds and inserts anti-muslim messages in an elusive way and tends to reveal them to boost the current anti-Muslim sentiments in the United States. Western media in general and Homeland in particular always emphasize the link between Islam, terrorism and hostility.
