Résumé: The current study aims to reveal the relationship between the level of academic ambition and satisfaction with the academic specialization among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences departments at Kasdi Merbah University Ouargla. this study aims to reveal the relationship between the level of academic ambition and satisfaction with the academic specialization among university students, relying on the appropriate correlational descriptive approach for this approach. The basic study sample consisted of (120) male and female students selected in a simple random way from Kasdi Merbah University-Ouargla-during the academic year 2023. The following tools were also relied upon in collecting data: -The scale of the level of academic ambition designed by: "Ben Shteioui Safwan" in 2014 at Kasdi Merbah University Ouargla, Algeria. -Satisfaction scale for the academic specialization designed by: "Ben Mubarak Nasima" in 2014 at Hajj Lakhdar University of Batna, Algeria. - ‏After that, the psychometric properties of the two study tools were confirmed b calculating the coefficients of honesty and stability and after applying the basic study, and then the data were processed statistically using the statistical packages program for the social sciences in (SPSS) in its nineteenth edition (19). The study found the following results: 1-The level of academic ambition among students of the Departments of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Kasdi Merbah and Ouargla is high. 2-The level of satisfaction with the academic specialization among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Divisions at Kasdi Merbah University-Ouargla- is high. 3-There is a statistically significant relationship between the level of academic ambition and satisfaction with the academic specialization among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Divisions at Kasdi Merbah University Ouargla. 4-There is no statistically significant difference in the level of academic ambition among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Divisions at Kasdi Merbah University-Ouargla- according to the educational level: (Licence/ Master). 5-There is no statistically significant difference in the level of academic ambition among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Divisions at Kasdi Merbah University-Ouargla- according to the academic specialization (Work and Organization Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, Counseling and Guidance). 6-There is a statistically significant difference in satisfaction with the academic specialization among students of the Divisions of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Kasdi Merbah-Ouargla- according to the educational level: (Licence/ Master). 7-There is no statistically significant difference in satisfaction with the academic specialization among students of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Divisions at the University of Kasdi Merbah and Ouargla according to the academic specialization: (Psychology work and organization, clinical psychology, Educational Psychology, special education, Counseling and Guidance These findings were discussed based on the theoretical heritage and previous studies on the subject, and finally concluded with suggestions addressed to university students and the university's educational advisory staff.
