Profil Épidémiologique, Pathologique Et Thérapeutique Des Cancers Colorectaux Au Niveau De Centre Anti-cancéreux D'ouargla Durant La Période 2020 – 2021
Résumé: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common cancer of the digestive tract. Despite advances in screening, diagnosis and treatment, the morbidity and mortality of this pathology is increasing. Material and method: Descriptive, retrospective study spread over a period of 02 years, from 2020 to 2021, involving 89 patients who were treated for CRC at the level of the anti-cancer center –OUARGLA. Results and discussion: CRC represents 7.6% of all cancers. These cancers involved the rectum in 57.3% of cases, the colon in 36% of cases and the recto sigmoid junction in 6.7% of cases. The average age of our patients was 58.3 years. A male predominance with a sex ratio of 1.2. The clinical symptomatology was predominated by rectal bleeding in 64% of cases and there was no place for screening. Our patients had benefited from various complementary examinations, including recto-colonoscopy, TAP CT, pelvic MRI, abdomino-pelvic ultrasound or hepatic MRI. Histologically, ADK Lieberkuhniens accounted for 94% of cases. The operability rate was 83%, 88% of rectal cancer cases had benefited from neoadjuvant treatment and 79% of colon cancer cases from adjuvant treatment. Conclusion: The results of our study join the data of the literature in matters of epidemiological, pathological and therapeutic data, however more in-depth analytical studies are essential
