Media Framing And Israel-palestine War (2023): Bassem Youssef And Piers Morgan Interview As A Case Study

Résumé: This dissertation examines the media framing of the Israel-Palestine conflict, mainly focusing on the 2023 War in Gaza, through a case study of an interview between Bassem Youssef and Piers Morgan. It relies on a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method to collect and analyze data. The interview's transcript was analyzed through content analysis, involving language, tone, and framing devices. The results obtained from this study demonstrate the media's crucial role in constructing and shaping public discourse and narratives regarding ongoing conflict. The contradictory techniques used between Piers and Bassem in the interview underscore the way audience critical minds are triggered and viewpoints are reshaped, in addition to the ability of public figures' speeches to challenge dominant narratives. تتناول هذه الأطروحة التأطير الإعلامي للصراع الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني، مع التركيز بشكل أساسي على حرب 2023 في غزة، من خلال دراسة حالة لمقابلة أجريت بين باسم يوسف وبيرس مورغان. ويعتمد على المنهج النوعي باستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لجمع البيانات وتحليلها. تم تحليل نص المقابلة من خلال تحليل المحتوى، بما في ذلك اللغة والنبرة وأجهزة التأطير. توضح النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها من هذه الدراسة الدور الحاسم لوسائل الإعلام في بناء وتشكيل الخطاب العام والسرديات المتعلقة بالصراع المستمر. تؤكد الأساليب المتناقضة المستخدمة بين بيرس وباسم في المقابلة على الطريقة التي يتم بها إثارة العقول النقدية لدى الجمهور وإعادة تشكيل وجهات النظر، بالإضافة إلى قدرة خطابات الشخصيات العامة على تحدي الروايات السائدة.
