Résumé: The current study dealt with an important topic which is identifying the social adaptation and its relationship with school achievement among the mentally disabled children from the parents’ point of view، through identifying the Possible differences in gendre and educational level، a tool was designed to measure this، After it is confirmed as valid by Measuring honesty and stability ; it was applied to a sample estimated 150 child from Centers for the mentally handicapped in Ouargla، The sample was selected randomly، The data were processed statistically using SPSS version 19، The study reached the following results: - The parents' attitudes toward social adaptation and its relationship to school achievement are positive. - Diversity in points of views of social adaptation and its relationship to school achievement by gender. - Diversity in points of views of social adaptation and its relationship to school achievement by educational level. The results were discussed in the light of the theoretical aspect and previous studies، the study was concluded with some proposals for educators، parents and decision makers.
