المتخيّل التّاريخي في رواية "البيت الأندلسي " لواسيني الأعرج
Résumé: History was strongly present in Wasini Al-Araj’s novels. He lent history to the service of the art of the novel and mixed historical narrative and narrative imagination. This blend was crystallized in his novel The Andalusian House, in which he recalled the history of his Morisco ancestors in Andalusia and revealed what history had not said, relying on narration, description, and dialogue. The question that arises is to what extent Wasini Al-Araj was able to artistically reformulate history by employing historical imagination at the level of narrative structure in the novel The Andalusian House? The approach adopted in this study is a combination of the structural approach, the historical approach, and the interpretive approach. To demonstrate the extent of Wasini Al-Araj’s creativity and his grip on the authority of history and to reformulate it as a novelist, revealing the truth about the Moriscos during the presence of Muslims in Andalusia, which are facts that history has overlooked.
