Résumé: تشهد الدراسات والبحوث العلمية في مجال الإعلام والاتصال تحولات كبيرة نتيجة التطورات التكنولوجية المتسارعة في الآونة الأخيرة. فقد أفرزت هذه التكنولوجيا وسائل جديدة وغيرت كثيرا من وسائل الاتصال والإعلام التقليدية واستخداماتها.هذه التغيرات التي طرأت على البنية الاتصالية للمجتمعات نتج عنها بروز عدة تيارات بحثية سعت لمعالجة هذه الظواهر. تسعى هذه الدراسة النظرية إلى تسليط الضوء على مدخل حارس البوابة ودوره في دراسة الإعلام الجديد في محاولة فهم الظواهر التي رافقت إنتاج المضامين الإعلامية وكيفية تلقيها من المستخدمين كما تتناول الدور الذي تلعبه هذه النظرية في حقل علوم الإعلام والاتصال لتفسير مختلف آليات الصناعة الإعلامية والاستخدامات في ظل البيئة الإعلامية الجديدة. Abstract New information and communication technologies have revolutionized the world, revolutionized the life of everyone, modified for individuals their way of life, for businesses their mode of management and development. It is undeniable that the development of communication has nourished the theories of information and vice versa. Theories that present themselves as a means of understanding and explaining the historical period and prevailing development trends in society.
