Lng Export Diversification And Demand Security In Algeria

Résumé: One of the fastest growing energy sources is natural gas and LNG is set to become a key driver in the development of the global gas industry and the economies of the world. Algeria is one of the top ten producer and exporter of natural gas. The large bulk of its revenue come from it. In this paper, one addresses a key issue within Algeria’s LNG segment and evaluates the risk of Algerian gas security using the HHI index which take into account the concentration of LNG exports. After calculating the index and diagnosing the natural gas state, the country must come up with measures to improve and sustain its export market share by implementing new national and international strategies.
