Résumé: The study aimed to identify the perceptions of university teachers, they believe that they are supporting factors in the contribution of Algerian universities to sustainable development. The study was started from a question: How can the university contribution in sustainablede velopement be activated as per the teachers point of view? Are there differences in these perceptions according to the geographical region to which the university belongs? The study included(800) teachers from a group of Algerian universities, six (06) of which belong to the North, and four (04) belong to the South, in the academic season of 2019/2020. The study concluded that it is necessary to raise the level of teaching proficiency for the teacher and raise the level of student formation, thenre-examine the curricula in a manner consistent with the capabilities and aspirations of society. It ended with a set of recommendations and a list of references
