Artifical Intelligence In Algerian Higher Education: A Critical Examination Of Benefits And Risks For Students, Professors, And Institutions
Résumé: In the last five years, artificial intelligence has become increasingly used in higher education. AI is being utilized to adapt new teaching strategies and methodologies to the different student kinds, styles, and preferences.It is important to note that AI is implemented not just for teaching but also for the evaluation of students’ levels and the measurement of their academic success. The goal of the current study is to determine how AI can be successfully used in higher education, with a light focus on the difficulties and advantages of doing so.The survey was done in the summer of 2023, and the results are presented in the current paper, which offers novel insights into AI in higher education. The respondents were tasked with responding to a series of overarching questions about the employment of AI in higher education. According to the survey results, Algerian teachers are hesitant to adopt AI and have conservative views on the subject. Perhaps as a result of their lack of expertise, training, and knowledge to use artificial intelligence (AI) in their teaching methods.
