The Impact Of Online Education During Covid 19 Pandemic On Foreign Language Learner Autonomy

Résumé: The present paper aims to investigate whether or not online education has promoted learning autonomy in Algerian University students. The hypothesis on which this paper is based is that students will develop characteristics of learning autonomy due to online learning imposed by COVID 19 pandemic consequences. To investigate this premise, a questionnaire is administered to a sample of second year students from the ENS of Constantine. The results obtained have disconfirmed this hypothesis; that is online education imposed due to the COVID 19 pandemic consequences has not promoted autonomous learning in Algerian University students. Major components of autonomous learning were missing in the students’ behaviour during face-to-face teaching and the situation did not change during the pandemic. ملخص يهدف هذا المقال إلى التحقق مما إذا كان التعليم عن بعد قد عزز استقلالية التعلم لدى طلاب الجامعة الجزائرية أم لا. الفرضية التي يستند إليها هذا البحث هي أن الطلاب سيطورون خصائص استقلالية التعلم بسبب التعلم عبر الإنترنت الذي تفرضه العواقب الوبائية لـكوفيد 19. للتحقيق في هذه الفرضية ، تم إجراء استبيان على عينة من طلاب السنة الثانية في المدرسة العليا للاساتذة، قسنطينة. النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها قد دحضت هذه الفرضية. التعليم عن بعد المفروض بسبب عواقب جائحة COVID 19 لم يعزز التعلم المستقل في طلاب الجامعة الجزائرية. كانت المكونات الرئيسية للتعلم المستقل مفقودة في سلوك الطلاب أثناء التدريس الحضوري ولم يتغير الوضع أثناء الوباء.
