Résumé: This study dealt with the subject of literary genres in Al-Jahiz’s book Al- Bakhala’ As we seek through it to reveal the various literary genres included in the book and how Al-Jahiz gave them great attention. In our research, we took the concept of literary genres and their development, and the genres mentioned in the book, such as the story, the rare and the message... highlighting their structure and structure according to Al-Jahiz in terms of the elements and characteristics that characterize each gender.
