رمزية المواضيع الفسيفسائية في المدن الجزائرية القديمة

Résumé: إن الهدف من دراسة الرمزية في الفترة القديمة هو تسليط الضوء على مختلف المعتقدات الدينية التي كانت سائدة عند المجتمعات المحلية و الأجنبية الشرقية و الغربية، من جهة، و من جهة أخرى فهي تلعب دورا حاسما في فك لغز الحياة الاجتماعية و السياسية و الثقافية التي امتازت بها حضارات العالم القديم . و لقد انصب اهتمامنا في دراسة الرمزية من خلال اللوحات الفسيفسائية التي تم الكشف عنها في مختلف المدن الجزائرية القديمة و على الخصوص تلك التي توفرت فيها الورشات المتعلقة بهذا الفن و على سبيل المثال، ورشة تاموقادي (تيمقاد) و لامبيزيس (تازولت) و سيرتا (قسنطينة) و القيصرية (شرشال) و غيرها من الورشات التي نالت شهرة في العالم القديم و خاصة تحت سيطرة الإمبراطورية الرومانية. و أثبتت نتائج دراسة رموز اللوحات الفسيفسائية أن الديانة النوميدية تأثرت و أثرت بدورها بعض المعتقدات الدينية البونية و الرومانية و على سبيل الذكر امتزاج و تطابق بعض المعبودات فيما بينها لغرض اجتماعها بفكرة الخصوبة و الحياة التي تعتمد على عنصر الماء، هذا الأخير الذي جسده الفنان الإفريقي على أجمل أعماله الفنية التي زينت معظم أرضيات الحمامات الرومانية و المنازل الفاخرة و النافورات و المكتبات. The purpose of this paper first aims at exploring, through some symbolic signs in the mosaic frescoes, different beliefs spread in local and foreign eastern and western societies during the Roman era. Second, it attempts to disambiguate the meaning of these signs, which were related to the social, political and cultural life of those times. As far as the methodology is concerned, we applied a descriptive analytical approach to the the corpus under study .The data were collected from mosaic frescoes found in many Algerian ancient cities, namely THAMOUGHADI (Timgad), LAMBAEIS (Tazoult), CIRTA(Constantine), and CAESAREA (Cherchel), besides to other famous workshops of the ancient world which was under the Roman imperial control. The results of this investigation showed that the religious symbols help us understand some hidden beliefs of the cultural life in Numedia. ; More over it is possible to affirm that not only the Numedian cultural life was widely influenced by the Greek and Roman civilizations but it impacted other cultures too. This was particularly visible through symbols referring to fertility, and water which were at the core of social and political empowerment. This was materialized by highly African skilled artists who decorated the floors of bathrooms, magnificent houses, fountains and libraries with mosaic.
