Résumé: تعدُ الهوية بوصفها أحد أهم العناصر الثقافية لأدب الهجرة ومشكلات المهاجرين من أبرز التحديات التي تشوه هوية الرواة في رواية هدی بركات كما تقوم بتغيير شخصيتهم. يشكل رواية بريد الليل مثالا بارزا لطبقات شعوب العالم المأزومة، التي من خلال تموضعها في المحيط الخلالي لثقافات مختلفة والعناصر التي تشكل هوية المجتمعات، تقبل الثقافة الأخری الغربية المتعارضة مع ثقافتها السابقة. تطلق هدی بركات والتي تعد شخصا مهاجرا، من خلال معرفة تحديات المهاجرين لقب «ورطة» علی مشكلات المهاجرين واستجابتهم للثقافة التي تبتلعهم مثل هوة سحيقة ذات أعماق مظلمة وسوداء في مصيرها المشؤوم. Identity, as one of the most important cultural elements of immigration literature, and the problems of immigrants are among the most prominent challenges that distort the identity of the narrators in Hoda Barakat’s novel and change their personality. The novel Night Mail constitutes a prominent example of the classes of peoples of the world in crisis, who, through their positioning in the interstitial environment of different cultures and the elements that constitute the identity of societies, accept the other, Western culture that is in conflict with their previous culture. Hoda Barakat, who is an immigrant, through her knowledge of the challenges of immigrants, calls the problems of immigrants and their response to the culture that swallows them like a deep abyss with dark depths and an ominous fate.
