Résumé: Our greatdesertisdistinguished by itsclimate, hot and dry in summer and cold and dry in winter, especially in the Adrar region. Where the materialsused in the construction are concrete, which has proven to fail to give a comfortableclimate and has a significantweakness in thermal performance. It isnecessary to find alternatives to concrete in order to reach the goals. In ourstudy, wewillmakeclay blocks that have good thermal properties and acceptable mechanicalproperties to reduceelectricalenergyconsumption and improve the heat rate inside the buildings. Wedesigned thermal conductivity test models in the form of circular discs(), whichwehad no luck in applying due to the lack of a dedicated machine, and othermodelswere made in the form of cube molds (16*4*4) for compression testing, as thesemodels are pressedWith local materials (North Adrar clay, local sand, gypsum, cement, lime) in varying proportions between (0%-20%).
